01 One puff, one minute

FROM PUFF TO PHONE
IN UNDER A MINUTE.

A pupil steps into a cubicle and takes a puff. Here is what happens in the next minute — and why a can of hairspray in the same room never bothers anyone.

  1. Puff

    Someone vapes

In a toilet, changing room or stairwell — anywhere staff can’t watch.

  2. Spot

    Vape Sense notices

The ceiling sensor picks it up straight away. No camera, no microphone.

  3. Check

    It makes sure

Hairspray, steam and dust are recognised and ignored. Only real incidents go further.

  4. <60 s

    The right staff are alerted

Only the people you chose for that room get the alert, with the room and whether it’s vape or smoke.

  5. After

    It’s on record

Every incident is logged, so you can spot patterns and back up your policies.

02 The difference
CATCHES THE VAPE.
IGNORES THE HAIRSPRAY.

This is what separates VapeSense from detectors that cry wolf. It is built to catch real vaping and smoking every time, while ignoring the everyday look-alikes that make cheaper detectors useless.

Staff are alerted
VapingE-cigarettes and disposable vapes, including flavoured ones
SmokingCigarettes and other smoke, reported separately from vaping
TamperingAnyone trying to open, cover or remove the sensor

Hairspray & deodorantEveryday sprays don’t send staff running

BUILT FOR THE
PEOPLE WHO RESPOND.

Every alert lands on one timeline your team can look back through — so you can act on patterns, not just incidents.

1:1Room to responder

Choose who is alerted for each room — the head of girls for the girls’ toilets, the PE team for the changing rooms.

  • Choose which staff are alerted for each sensor — no more alerting everyone
  • Schedule active hours and rest sensors over weekends and holidays
  • Adjust sensitivity from the dashboard — no site visit
  • See at a glance that every sensor is online and working
  • Check in securely from home or another site
04 Getting started

UP AND RUNNING
IN FOUR STEPS.

A qualified electrician fits each sensor to the ceiling. Then you name the room, add your staff, set your hours and press the test button.

  1. Mounting plate, mains cable and fixing screws01

    Fix the plate

Screw the mounting plate to the ceiling over the mains cable.

  2. Sensor lined up with the wired mounting plate02

    Wire it

A qualified electrician connects it to mains power, plus a network cable if you prefer wired.

  3. Sensor pushed home and locked with side security screws03

    Lock it

Push the sensor home and fit the security screws. From now on, any tampering raises an alert.

  4. Sensor connecting to Wi-Fi from a phone04

    Connect it

Join your Wi-Fi from a phone, or plug in a network cable.
